To be honest, I was a bit unsure about volunteering at Project R.I.D.E. I have never worked with children with disabilities before and I had no idea what to expect. Much to my surprise, I have fallen in love with this community. The children are so great to be around. They are so happy to be around the horses and meet new people. It is honestly amazing to see four and five year olds on top of an animal that is 10 times their size. The smiles and laughs or just the pure tranquility in their eyes makes me appreciate my time there so much more.
