Meet Evan Grijnstein. Evan recently completed a community service project as part of his Bar Mitzvah training. He has been a rider at Project Ride for about 2 years and really loves it! He appreciates all of the volunteers and wanted to find a way to give back to the program. He made handmade wooden horse magnets and sold them at Project Ride Crafts Fair and Crab Feed and also at our Temple and to friends and family. His original goal was to collect $25 and buy an orange carrot to reside on the Project RIDE arena walls. Instead, he collected $250 – enough for a silver carrot! When talking about his project in his Bar Mitzvah speech, his mother’s favorite line was “Project RIDE gives riders legs to run on and commands to communicate with.”
Congratulations, Evan!
