24 Little Hours to Make a BIG Difference
On Thursday, May 3, 2018, our community will come together to continue the tradition established years ago, which is now woven into our regional identity – Big Day of Giving. For one 24-hour stretch, we have the opportunity to give to the hundreds of nonprofits that strengthen our region every day. Since its inception, thousands of donors have helped over 600 local nonprofits raise more than $23 million during Big Day of Giving. Won’t you join us?
What is the Big Day of Giving?
It’s a chance for 600 nonprofits to raise a ton of money online, in one day. Last year, we raised $7.2 Million. How much will we as a region raise for Big Day of Giving 2018? How many people who live, work and shop in Elk Grove, will GIVE in Elk Grove this year? That depends upon YOU. last year, we raised 7.2 Million regionwide, and Project RIDE raised nearly $18,000 in one day for our program.
Share the message, spread the word – this is 24 little hours to make a big difference. For people, for animals, for the environment, for the community – whatever you care about, there is an organization working to make it better in Elk Grove. Let’s join together and give back.

- Make your donation on May 3rd at bigdayofgiving.org
- Make your donation in person at our event (we can take checks or cash if you give in person, otherwise it must be online)
- Pre-schedule your gift starting April 18th – that way you don’t have to remember to give on May 3rd.
Join us for a party!
Watch this quick video to see what to expect at our open house event – interactive activities, information about 20+ nonprofits in Elk Grove, light refreshments, appearances by notables and live entertainment from the Teen Center and the Strauss Festival. All free! You can make your donation to Project RIDE in person at the event or before you come. Our riders and volunteers are also invited, to thank our supporters and offer hospitality. 5-7pm on the Big Day, at the barn.
